Ivo Favotto
Business Commercialisation and Economic Analysis Specialist

Ivo is the founder and Managing Director of The Mercurius Group – a specialist consultancy that helps major businesses optimise commercial outcomes from infrastructure business such as airports, railways, cruise terminals, universities, hospitals, hotels and other assets.
Ivo’s unique experience and skill set allows him to operate across the entire commercial value chain, starting with strategy and project feasibility assessment, through to planning to economic assessments and all the way to tendering and leasing commercial opportunities. He is currently acting as Project Director on a $150m terminal expansion project. Because of his experience, Ivo is also sought out in the mergers and acquisition space, conducting due diligence and inputting into the valuation of travel retail assets and companies.
Roy Marrett

Roy Marrett is a qualified accountant (UK) with extensive business and commercial experience in audit, manufacturing (and related commodities and foreign exchange), engineering and government aid programs. His experience was gained in multinational businesses, primarily in the URS/AECOM/Dames & Moore group, for 26 years.
Roy has had a career in audit, trading, manufacturing, engineering and construction industries. He worked and lived in many parts of the world including Asia Pacific and Europe. Being CFO/COO, he played active senior roles in business strategy, people, projects, risk management and sustainable business operations and profitability. His experience includes government and private sector clients. He is committed to the environment, to safety and to a healthy workplace.
Terry Carmichael
Strategic Advice, Operations Management, Project Management, Construction Management

With project management experience going back to his career in the RAAF where he gained the rank of Squadron Leader at a young age, project management of many large resources and infrastructure projects over long careers with Bechtel, Kinhill and in his own business, Terry brings major project and business perspectives to DJG’s clients.
His experience in project start ups, feasibility, schedule, cost and scope management in Australia and internationally, together with his own start up and management of a successful project service business, and his more recent involvement with a not-for-profit organisation needing his skills, means that he is an objective, and thoughtful adviser in complex situations.
KC Theng
Public and Resources Infrastructure Specialist
MEngSc, B-Eng (Second Class Honours, Division A)
KC has extensive experience in the infrastructure sector, with particular emphasis on the design of large water pumping systems and complex pipeline hydraulics, computer modeling and master planning of water supply systems, water treatment plants and water management systems.
As well as having over thirty years’ experience in direct design of facilities in the infrastructure industry, KC has strong experience as a Design Manager on some significant and innovative Australian water sector projects in recent years. His experience also includes significant project, procurement and financial management of Australian and international projects across a number of countries.
Ian Lindquist
Infrastructure and Building Services Specialist

Ian is a Mechanical Engineer with 45 years of experience in design, consultation and construction of a significant number of International and Australian projects. Ian has been the leader of multidiscipline projects and building services design manager on a variety of projects including rail, airports, defence, water infrastructure, retail developments, commercial, data centres, residential, schools, universities, private and public health, public administration buildings in Australia and overseas, industrial, hotels and cultural facilities.
As well as being a technical specialist in building mechanical services, Ian managed Property and Building design groups which included responsibility for the technical quality of the designs and was the Global Service Line leader for HVAC in GHD for 8 years. In this role, Ian provided technical leadership for the HVAC designs throughout GHD.
Matt Coetzee
Infrastructure Specialist, Urban and Statutory Planner and Environmental Specialist

Matt has over 30 years of experience as an infrastructure feasibility specialist, urban planner, statutory planner and an approvals and environmental assessment professional. Matt is also a leading specialist in the development and the assurance review of major project business cases, on behalf of all Australian States and Territories and for the Commonwealth. In that role Matt has either prepared or assured close to 60 major business cases across multiple jurisdictions.
Matt has worked for private and public entities, across a wide range of asset classes, including road, rail, ports, airports, hospitals and industrial developments, through to water supply, electricity generation and distribution, defence, waste facilities, digital and smart solutions, education and agriculture. Prior to establishing Sense Strategy Consulting, Matt was international consultancy Aurecon’s Global Environment & Planning Leader, as well as their Cities Director, leading a team of approximately 400 staff across multiple countries.
Alex Simopoulos
Environmental Project Management Specialist
B App Sci (Geol), Grad Dip Applied Finance, MAusIMM, FFinSIA
Alex Simopoulos specialises in Environmental Project Management, which includes managing consulting projects and works contracts. Alex is well versed in environmental management systems, and has experience in implementing and managing ISO 14001. As a project manager, Alex has led teams preparing various EIPs for industries operating in rural areas (Thales Benalla, Vossloh, Boral). He has assessed land impairment aspects of environmental impact assessments for petroleum pipelines. He has direct experience in preparing CEMPs for civil construction works involving large scale excavations and earthmoving.
One of Alex’s strengths is in documenting project briefs and preparing specifications and tender documentation. Through his preparation of carefully worded and detailed documentation, and careful management of prequalification and project briefings, Alex has been able to ensure project works are carried out in an efficient and trouble free manner leaving little ambiguity or uncertainty as to scope and performance expectations. Alex is well versed in contract administration under both AS2124 and AS4300, as well as other contract forms.
